In Trenton on Tuesday afternoon, the 2d inst., after a long illness, James D. Westcott, Esq., in the 66th year of his age. The deceased was a native of Cumberland county, in this state - and ... He was for many years a Judge and Justice in his native county, and filled at different periods the offices of Collector of the Customs, member of the Legislative Council of the State, and Secretary of State, the last of which he occupied for the period of ten years, and up to the last fall.

Near this village, yesterday morning, after a painful and protracted illness, which she bore with Christian meekness, Mrs. Elizabeth Williamson, aged about 67 years. Mrs. W. was for many years a worthy and pious member of the Presbyterian Church, and was universally esteemed by all who knew her. The funeral will take place this morning, at 11 o'clock, at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Joseph P. Boss.

Long may the Bethlehem Church, of which she was a worthy communicant, remember she was a liberal supporter; and her large family descendants, ... The funeral services of the above were performed by their affectionate pastor, Rev. H. W. Hunt.

Suddenly at his residence, near Perryville, Hunterdon co., on the 12th inst., Samuel Lair, sen, in the 64th year of his age. By this sudden and unexpected stroke of Divine Providence, his afflicted family have been deprived of a kind and affectionate husband, and an indulgent parent, and the neighborhood of a much respected citizen.

Died
At his residence in Bethlehem township, Hunterdon county, N.J., on Friday, 12th of November last, Dr. Lewis Randolph Needham. He was born in East Haddam, in Connecticut, (where his widowed mother and brothers and sisters now reside), 12th July, 1806, and consequently was 35 years and 4 months old the day of his death. His father died while he was young, and the care of him devolved on Colonel White, his mother's brother, residing in Coventry. With him he resided until 1825, when in his 20th year he came to NJ, and engaged in teaching a school in Lafayette, Sussex Co., afterwards in Essex and Morris counties. In the latter place he commenced the study of medicine with Dr. Jeptha B. Munn, of Chatham. He then removed to Bethlehem, Hunterdon co., and the two last years of his studies were spent under the direction of his friend, Dr. John Blane, with whom he formed a partnership in the practice of the profession. He was licensed to practice at Morristown in the spring of 1835, and since that time until within a few weeks of his death, was actively engaged in the practice of his profession. In February 1839, he married Miss Susan F. Sayre, of Madison, in Morris county. ... His disease was tuberculaer consumption ...
