In this Village, yesterday morning, 22d inst., after a protracted illness, Mrs. Susan Blackwell, widow of the late John T. Blackwell, Esq. in the 67th year of her age. The deceased has been long known in this community, as an exemplary and valuable member of Society, and esteemed and beloved by an extensive circle of friends and acquaintances. From an early period of life, she has been a member of the Baptist church, adorning her christian profession by a walk and conversation becoming the Gospel. In the endearing relation of wife and mother, she has left an example long to be remembered by those who now are called to mourn her loss. Living and dying in the faith of Christ, her life was tranquil, and her end was peace; and to her the language is justly applicable, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." In her death, her surviving children sustain a loss which no earthly good can compensate, but their loss is her unspeakable gain. Her friends are repectfully invited to attend her funeral, on Thursday next, at 11 o'clock, A.M.
